Just beyond the Barton Creek Greenbelt lies a section of Austin to which numerous people have been attracted, especially over the past decade.  The attraction to the 78735 area can be attributed to its variety of terrains, it’s variety of home styles, and to Austin’s southward growth during the past decade.  There are some very exclusive golf course country clubs in this area and the quality of life is high.

Southwest Parkway and Barton Creek Boulevard serve as the major pipelines into the neighborhoods.  Most of the vegetation along Southwest Parkway consists of low trees and rolling hills reminiscent of West Texas.  The neighborhoods along Barton Creek Boulevard and Lost Creek Boulevard are somewhat different though.  These upper class communities are dispersed along roads that dip and wind through the peaceful countryside.  Although there are many retirees in 78735, the area definitely seems to be family friendly and there are a number of recreational areas for people of all ages.
