- Watch a live band at one of the many local venues and find out why Austin is know as the Live Music Capitol World – there is a performance every night of the week
- Get a laugh at one of the many comedy clubs in Austin
- Go on a beer tasting excursion at the many brewpubs, all of which are in walking distance from each other
- Take in a performance at Ballet Austin
- Visit the Elisabet Ney Museum and see the studio and artwork of the first eminent sculptor in Texas
- Enjoy a refreshing brew at Scholz Garten, which is the oldest German Bier garten in Texas
- Visit the Laguna Gloria Art Museum and enjoy the many changing exhibits of American art
- Get your feet moving at one of the many country-western dance halls, including The Lumber Yard, The Broken Spoke, and Dance Across Texas
- Enjoy horse racing at Manor Downs
- Take in a play at one of the 50 theaters in the area
- Watch a collegiate sporting event at the University of Texas
